People ascribe this discomfort to not being true to themselves but it is important to push out of your comfort zone to grow.
- There is a big gap in confidence between men and women. In numerous studies, men overestimate their abilities and women underestimate theirs while actual performance is the same. HP found women applying for jobs when they thought they met 100% of the job requirements whereas men were willing to apply believing 60% of the requirements were met. This is a big issue because confidence matters as much as competence when it comes to being successful.
